1. HYPE HYPE HYPE You must put lots of flashy doodads (is that how you spell that?) and all sorts of other pretty stuff on your blog so people will read it. In other words ALL THE HYPE THAT MONEY CAN BUY.
2. You must put lots read of my subliminal blog messages to make people read your blog whether they want to or not.
3. It must use horrible font choices so that it is next to impossible to read just plain old gives you a headache to read it.
4. And Finally and by far the most important you must turn it into a "chain blog" by telling people they will have bad luck for the rest of there lives, or that there crush or significant other will leave them, or that something bad will happen to them if they don't read this within the next 2 minutes and then make all of their dearest friends read it, who by some staggering chance have nothing better to do than to sit around reading and forwarding chain letters and to all of their friends, and "I better get this back or you won't be a true friend".
If you believed any of that you don't know me very well, and should probably read on.
1. You have to write in your blog... This may seem obvious, but many times you'll go out and start a blog and completely forget about it.
2. Someone other than you must know about your blog... Again, possibly obvious... but after using MSN for a while and seeing many of my friends start blogs and A) the only reason I knew about it was because it was associated with their screen name B) they certainly didn't tell me about it.
3. Rules don't really apply to blogs, it's your space for crying out loud, your very own soap box viewable by the world (except maybe china... but their just weird).
By the way... I am really surprised someone hasn't pursued that whole "chain blog" thing... And if they do now, I am sorry for unleashing yet another scourge on the world of internet.
But for now, Shalom, LeTaot! (It Means peace, see you later)
